Get your own Ledger

Your own private copy of Ledger, on your own free Cloudflare account. It starts completely empty, and only you can see what you put in it.

Make a free Cloudflare account

Cloudflare hosts your copy. The free plan is plenty for a household. No card needed.

Open Cloudflare sign-up ↗

Confirm your email address, then come back here.

2

Create an API token

This is a one-time key that lets this page build your copy.

Open the token page ↗
  1. Tap Create Token, then Create Custom Token (“Get started”).
  2. Name it Ledger install.
  3. Under Permissions, add these 4 rows (all are “Account”):
  1. Under Account Resources, pick Include → your account. Leave the rest as it is.
  2. Tap Continue to summary, then Create Token, then Copy.

If the page opens with the boxes already filled in, just check they match the list above.

3

Paste it here

Only needed if you have more than one Cloudflare account. It’s the long code in the address bar after dash.cloudflare.com/.
Lets Ledger read receipt photos and statements. Get one free at aistudio.google.com/apikey → Create API key. Ledger works without it, you just type entries in yourself.
Your token is used once, only for this install, and is never stored or logged. It goes straight to Cloudflare to set up your copy. You can delete the token afterwards.

Tap Install

Advanced
Used for your web address, database and storage. Keep “ledger” unless you know you want something else.

What you get

Your own Ledger at your own address (ending in workers.dev), with its own database and file storage on your account. Nothing from anyone else’s Ledger comes with it: no entries, no names, no settings. The first time you open it, you set up your household and your login.

Updating or removing it later

To get a newer version, run this page again with a new token and the same app name. Your data is kept. To remove it, delete the “ledger” Worker, D1 database and R2 bucket in your Cloudflare dashboard.
